What should be anonymized when a user visit the dataset via private URL:
Citation Metadata
Social Sceinces
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Journal Metadata
Remove source metadata + configurable metadata fields (anonymizable or not).
Although Harvard combined this feature with the existing Private URL, I see no reason why we shouldn't give users the possibility of having anonymized and standard private URLs at the same time (one for well known colleagues and one for peer review).
Thus, we may just add another option below "Edit > Private URL" – "Anonymized Private URL".
After clicking this option, user sees a modal window similar to the one we use for standard Private URL.
Textual changes:
Dataset Private URL -> Anonymized Private URL
Private URL has not been created -> Anonymized Private URL has not been created
Use a Private URL to allow those without Dataverse accounts to access your dataset. For more information about the Private URL feature, please refer to the User Guide. -> Use an Anonymized Private URL to allow those without Dataverse accounts to access your anonymized dataset. For more information about the Anonymized Private URL feature, please refer to the User Guide.
For datasets having at least one published version we should also add a warning below:
WARNING. This dataset has at least one published version. Those who have access to the Anonymized Private URL for this dataset may be able to use its visible metadata to look up the full, not anonymized version of this dataset.

If the URL has been created already,
