There is a bug with mods such as, for example, https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/additional-bars-fabric and https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/horizontal-panes-fabric where if you place a horizontal glass pane or horizontal iron bar on top of a placed one, the one you place on top replaces the one that is already placed, and you do not get it back.
And if you place a half slab on top of a horizontal glass pane or horizontal iron bar, the block immediately below loses its top-side texture, and you can see through the world, as an xray. (Image below)
