Few changes to mob spawning to give the player a few more ways to make their bases safe.
Also helps with the 'hard to track down' dark spots that occasionally spit out a creeper.
Note: any kind of HUD/Light level overlay mod will not be a part of the pack (unless that function is available as a worn/held item or potion effect)
Raw, natural materials (ores/rocks/soils/logs/planks) can spawn mobs in darkness.
Carving a pattern (stone bricks, chiseled marble, farmland ect) won't prevent spawning in darkness since its still wholly made out of that material.
Player-made blocks typically won't spawn monsters.
(includes all machines/material blocks ect)
Mycelium and mushroom blocks don't spawn monsters, however monsters can spawn in mushroom biomes.
Mobs dont spawn on leaves, as they'll be stuck in trees.
Rock types from other dimensions can only spawn mobs from their respective dimension. (assuming the mobs are valid for other dimensions).
Endstone can only spawn endermen(/endermites?) in the overworld.
Netherrack is 'safe' in the overworld, as Nether mobs can't normally spawn in.
Overworld stones/dirt 'safe' in the nether/end ect (any dimension that does not spawn overworld monsters).
Endermen cannot spawn into the nether. This was just an outright bad idea.
Nether fortress is a special case; fortress mobs can spawn on Netherbrick but not netherrack.
Examples;
for the Overworld:
Stones/Gravel/Dirts/Grasses/Sands/Hardened Clays/Clay/Marble/Basalt/Granites/Obsidian/Overworld Ore varients/Logs ect can spawn mobs.
