On Windows, CellProfiler Analyst crashes on startup if it encounters an error that requires writing a log file because it writes the log file to the current directory which is the installation directory which is protected by default. It probably should write the log file to the user's home or not at all.

Any workarounds for this? EDIT: I installed to user home
