[macOS] CellProfiler 3.1.9 can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer #3885

It appears that the latest release (3.1.9) available on the download page (https://cellprofiler.org/releases/) was not properly signed and is causing Gatekeeper to block it.

CellProfiler has been signed in the past. Could you please sign it again?

The old signature information from a past version:

identifier "org.cellprofiler.CellProfiler" and anchor apple generic and certificate 1[field.1.2.840.113635.100.6.2.6] / exists / and certificate leaf[field.1.2.840.113635.100.6.1.13] / exists / and certificate leaf[subject.OU] = "27YQ9U45D9"

Will CellProfiler ever be signed and notarized? IGV which is also a software made by the Broad Institute is signed and notarized with a Broad Institute Developer ID certificate (THE BROAD INSTITUTE INC (R787A9V6VV)), so it shouldn't be a big problem to get CellProfiler signed and notarized using the same Developer ID certificate?
