@He3556, closing Issues without a statement why this has been done is not good for the people montoring our Issue list and may introduce negative feelings for the one opening it. Please tell me if this shall be re-opened, even though I know that our main focus will be GSM and fixing all the crap in the next few months. Thanks for coping with my comments, I am crawling through everything in the next few days.
yes you are right, so here is my comment. There are a few issues where we could add some information in the wiki (for example) and than close it. If there are people who want to work on it - super. But we simply can't do it. Even if we had time for it, we don't have CDMA towers in Europe. So i vote for deleting everything in the code about CDMA and add a notice somewhere in the wiki.

Ok, that brings it right to the point. But how about all the other users in other countries using CDMA networks? Would a prompt like AIMSICD does not support CDMA networks (yet)!
be a solution?

If we truly cannot add CDMA support, we should do so. @DJaeger do you agree with this?
:sob: But I understand.…
"AIMSICD does not support CDMA networks (yet)!" could be placed near the download link. And also in the "technical overview"
Thanks @TPS for understanding this. And people always have the choice to switch to a GSM carrier in the USA.

Besides that, don't you think an implementation to display that prompt on the Android device when connected to a CDMA network be better? Maybe @smarek can add his final thoughts on this case?
Well, about claim
we don't have CDMA towers in Europe.
We do have them in Europe, If nothing more, In Czech Republic O2 Telefonica is having good CDMA coverage (see here: http://www.o2.cz/osobni/en/199436-mapa_pokryti_a_prodejen/ ) I don't have CDMA capable development device however I don't think we should get rid of CDMA functions or stop supporting it right away. I'll try to get hold of dev device and do some testing
Thanks, @smarek! I appreciate the support! ☺

That's great news for our project! @He3556, feel invited to re-open this Issue if aplicable.
Didn't know about CDMA in Czech Republic. But found an overview - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_CDMA2000_networks Does somebody have informations about CDMA catcher?

@He3556, not sure if it makes sense answering so late, but have a look at the following clues to start:
If you'd like to see an actively sold product, use Tor to have a look at Cellular Intercept CDMA.
Hey folks from @CellularPrivacy/celltower, make sure to grab that bounty!
Maybe we could use the 100$ bounty to get the "yellow flag bug" out of the project?
https://github.com/CellularPrivacy/Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector/issues/863
@He3556, likely not. I talked to the donator @seanlynch and he especially donated for CDMA support. Furthermore, he placed a 6 month time frame on this bounty to ensure that support will get added a bit faster. But maybe, just maybe, he will add another bounty on the bug you mentioned?
Oh, that reminds me, I've since switched to a GSM phone so I should really start using this software :)
Even so, CDMA support would drastically increase uptake in the US, so I would still like to contribute to it. In fact, I'm willing to increase the bounty if you think that's the only thing standing in the way of getting this implemented.
It's not clear to me what the other bug is but since it seems important and I'll be an actual user now, I'll go put a bounty there too.
I went ahead and donated $100 that you can apply to whatever you'd like.
Thanks a lot @seanlynch - sorry that the project is a little bit stuck at the moment. I guess most people are on vacation. @SecUpwN should be back soon
Recently more people have requested that our app to work also on CDMA devices. However, CDMA is using a very different way of tracking and connecting to base-stations (BTS) that include GPS info on the BTS and using different parameters. This is major application work, apart from the simple translation of CID to SID etc etc.
