In single record view, the "Permanent Link" button brings up a modal window where user must physically select and copy the link.
The modal window also has horizontal scrolling due to how long the Folio permalinks are.
Current operation is:
click permalink button
mouse onto permalink value
select value with mouse, being very careful to get all the way over to the last character
triple click works here ; Ctrl-A does not, it selects whole underlying page text
Ctrl-C
close modal window
Compare to Millenium catalog, where "Permanent link to this URL" is an actual link that can be right-clicked, "Copy Link", done in one second.
Does this feature require the modal window?
Can we script a "Copy this link" button into the modal?
Or maybe the best solution is a single button that performs the copy, one click right into your clipboard.
