You can now give the plugin a try!
OS X instructions
~/.atom/packages
directory in its own directory (named atom-gist-dev
).Windows instructions
You will then have a Gist Dev top level menu. The sub menu has items for Clone, where you put in the Gist clone URL, and items for Save and Save and Share. Save will commit all file changes, Share will push the changes up to GitHub.
Next step is to put the blocks url into your clipboard on push!
Let me know how it goes @dbetebenner!
Thanks Ben
Blocks URL is now copied to the clipboard on push. Will move on to our custom viewer tomorrow.
Is there a way to get this plugin so we can install it from Atom in the same way that other packages are installed?
Wouldn’t that deal with the issue of installing on all platforms?
Yea, once it is published it will work like any other package. I just wanted to do some initial QA before publishing.
@dbetebenner Have you had a chance to try it out? Should I go ahead and publish an initial version?
I haven’t. Could you publish a version, I’ll install and try it out later today (hopefully)

Yep, I will publish this afternoon.
https://atom.io/packages/atom-gist-dev
If you go into Settings > Install in Atom and search for "atom-gist-dev" it should come up and let you install from there.
Please let me know how it goes, especially on Windows
Thanks,
I managed to install. Are there man pages associated with a plug-in?

The README serves as the docs for plugins. I will flesh ours out today.
I've updated the README and published a new version of the package. Note that the new README content didn't show up when I updated the package in Atom, I had to uninstall it and reinstall.
Thanks Ben

I have a whole host of features in my head, but some of them probably don't need to exist in the short term. The following lists are how I think they can be divided/scheduled, but I'd like to know what others think.
Now
Later
