I'd like to request the addition of two check-box options under the Shelfmark on the attach glosses page. Under "Shelfmark", can we say: __ Interlinear __ Marginal (i.e., scholars would be able to check one)
The text string 'Interlinear' or 'Marginal' should appear as part of the Shelfmark. It should not appear in connection with the Gloss because some glosses are marginal in some manuscripts and interlinear in others. But I still need something like "Engelberg, Stiftsbibliothek 42 -- Interlinear" to read as being connected to the same physical object (the same manuscript) as "Engelberg, Stiftsbibliothek 42 -- Marginal." So "interlinear" and "marginal" create two distinct but related sub-groups of a Shelfmark, not two different Shelfmarks. Is that possible?
Both "Engelberg, Stiftsbibliothek 42 -- Interlinear" and "Engelberg, Stiftsbibliothek 42 -- Marginal" will have the same manuscript metadata. Put a different way, they are both linked to "Engelbert, Stiftsbibliothek 42," which has its distinct manuscript metadata such as location, date, affiliated institution, etc.
