China scholars and historians might give you shit for labeling pre-1949 Chinese actions as the "People's Republic of China" like in this crisis. This is especially since you make the distinction between Russia and Soviet Union in the visualizations.
How would you change it to fix it?
You could get around it by displaying that as China. But then you get into the one-China conundrum after 1949.
