MySQL 5.7 will reach its EOL stage in October 2023.

How to use OTRS after October 2023 with MySQL 5.7 if MySQL 5.7 will be not supported?

How to install OTRS using MySQL 8.0 ?

MySQL 5.0 or higher (MySQL 8 and higher is not supported)

Hi, either the next release that we're working on, or the one after that, will support MySQL 8. You can also use OTRS CE with MariaDB, which is fully compatible with MySQL.

(We will keep this issue open until the release with MySQL 8 support is out.)
