Make the "Forgot your password?" Link More Noticeable #70

Open c21hornak opened 7 years ago

c21hornak commented 7 years ago

Guest Services gets a lot of customer feedback that the "Forgot your password?" link is not noticeable enough. They & Elisabeth are suggesting we make it darker and bigger. Apparently a lot of customers say they can barely see that shade of gray on their monitors.

I think let's update it in the immediate sense, and we can also maybe do a UXR/UXD project as a follow-up to make a more informed decision about how to update this for the best usability.

@juanmriosv Feedback from Elisabeth: "Can we leave the same size for consistency, but darken a bit?"

I think it's already black, so I guess just go back to the old size.

juanmriosv commented 7 years ago

@c21hornak When she said "the same size for consistency," what is she comparing it too?. Perhaps "privacy policy" to the right (create account area)? Please note that the /checkout page has also "Forgot your password," but it is a different layout, it does not have "create account area."

If "the same size for consistency," is what I mention above, should I darken anything else along with "forgot your password"?

I am adding below some metrics and options to help out her decision:

Metrics:

metrics_ checkout_bydevice metrics_ checkout_click_conversionrate metrics_ login_bydevice metrics_ login_click_conversionrate

Options (applied to "forgot your password")

Option 1 option 1 Option 2 option 2 Option 3 option 3

c21hornak commented 7 years ago

@juanmriosv For now just: • on Login Page & Checkout Login Page — make "Forgot your password?" same point size/letterspacing/etc. as "Privacy Policy", but make "Forgot your password?" same color (assuming black) as the other black-looking text on the page.

@juanmriosv FAIL on Checkout Login Page in IE 11 and Firefox 53.0.2 Mobile for Android.

c21hornak commented 7 years ago

@AdenaG Could you add screenshots or details about why it’s failing please? Partly so I can know the severity and can prioritize the fix.

juanmriosv commented 7 years ago

@c21hornak @AdenaG I believe this is the same that happened before. Network is blocking JustUno. It works on WIFI on my end.

AdenaG commented 7 years ago

@c21hornak I tried on wifi in IE, but even on Wifi, I have had other issues with Just Uno, verified in Crossbrowser, it passes in IE11.

However, my phone wasn't using any C21 network: The forgot password font was still showing grey and not black on Firefox 53.0.2 Mobile for Android. Considering thats a less used device/browser combo, up to you if you want to let it go.

c21hornak commented 7 years ago

@AdenaG does Android/Firefox in CrossBrowserTesting maybe have a different result?

AdenaG commented 7 years ago

@c21hornak Cant view that on CBT. Thought it was a limitation of theirs, but spoke with their customer service and you should be able to click and drag in mobile live view, They're looking into it, as they cannot replicate my issue at the moment.

@c21hornak PASS in PROD.
