When I spoke with Joseph @ Bluecore he said that criteria for including products was based on number of times the Bluecore pixel fires on a PDP (because of a page load). I think he said he thought it was set at 2 and that on his end they will most likely increase that number to help the situation. He seemed pretty confident they could solve the issue for the most part on their end alone.
C21 Admins are most likely the source of the PDP page loads prior to products actually being active. We previously thought the best approach would be for Noriel to change the Bluecore pixel so that it doesn’t fire when it’s a C21 person loading the page – there were some challenges around doing this perfectly however.
I discussed with Noriel again today and he thinks, and I think I agree, that best practice would probably be for WebLinc to make a change in the Analytics Gem so that no DDX analytics are tracked for Admin users. My only hesitation is that would mean no analytics for some employee orders (I believe just those placed while logged into their admin account).
Have the changes on Bluecore’s side alleviated the issue at all? Lets +Elisabeth if we need to look into taking action on our/WebLinc’s side, so we can figure out how & when to fit the work into the roadmap.
