macOS: Missing precompiled manifest for 'CesiumRuntime' in packaged build #571

After upgrading to latest version, I met the issue when launched on Mac. My OS is Big Sur. I'm new to Unreal Engine, and I have been searching a solution for a while. I followed the guide on https://cesium.com/learn/unreal/unreal-quickstart/. Everything was ok in editor, but when I clicked the launch button, the operation didn't finished, the error message is below: ERROR: Missing precompiled manifest for 'CesiumRuntime'. This module was most likely not flagged for being included in a precompiled build - set 'PrecompileForTargets = PrecompileTargetsType.Any;' in CesiumRuntime.build.cs to override.

Everything works fine on Windows, but weirdly on Mac OS. I tested project cesium-unreal-samples and my own project, they can all work on Windows. But on Mac, there are some situations. No.1 I installed the plugin several months ago, It worked fine in UE editor. In recent days, I upgraded to latest version, The error above occurred when I clicked the launch button. I google the error and some people said it can be solved by copying the code from plugin to project, I haven't try it yet.

These errors only occurs on Mac OS, the UE version is 4.26.2. I tested the same project with completely same code, It all can work.

I had to add an extra flag to the CMake step, I'm not totally sure why or even if this is necessary, but: cmake -B build -S . -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DCMAKE_MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.14

What version of XCode do you have installed? My suspicion is that the CI for the project uses XCode 11.3, whereas my mac is using 12.5. Maybe this could be the issue?

I'm just new to UE. which folder should I be in when execute the cmake command, and how to use the plugin that complied by my own. Could you give me more detailed information?

I think @KeyboardSounds's solution is the right one, specifically adding -DCMAKE_MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.14 when building cesium-native. For UE5 it's 10.15 instead of 10.14.
