MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021), Apple M1 Pro, 32 GB

usage: uselethminer ADDRESS.WORKER@eu1.ethermine.org:4444 --flavor-gpu metal --flavor armv8af --size 88 -t 8

[2022-02-08 20:27:13][STATUS] CPU[ 8923582 h/s :: 481 s/a :: 1115447 h/s/t :: 8 t :: 88 sz :: 68.08 GB/s ] GPU[ 4123807 h/s :: 1041 s/a :: 64 sz :: 31.46 GB/s ] noticeable higher hashrate than with ethminer-m1, and the system doesn't freeze as much surprisingly even with -t 8, proven by the fact i am writing this on chrome while it's running.

pool results comp -> proof

Fast-T commented 2 years ago

I get slightly higher numbers on my 16G M1pro with 10 threads.

Pool averages at 14MHs over 24h period with peaks up to 22Mhs image image

ganzocrypt commented 2 years ago

did you test dual mining using ZIL and uminable ?

ABredhauer commented 2 years ago

I've been running with 6 threads for about 12 hours on my 32Gb 16" MBP. Averaging around 10Mh/s with spikes up to 15. With ethminer-m1 I was only seeing a max of 5 and the machine was unusable. Now I'm able to use it normally with no noticeable impact while it continues to mine

angusgastle commented 2 years ago

Can get 30MH/s on the M1 Max now, after some tweaks.

Chainfire commented 2 years ago

What tweaks?

angusgastle commented 2 years ago

I've been using this with some great results. Not sure if it's right, but it runs pretty fast. Excited for huge pages:yes!

/usr/local/uselethminer/uselethminer USER.worker@eth.viabtc.io:3333 -f armv8af -s 88 -fg metal -t 42

moguel23 commented 2 years ago

I cannot go past 20 with any tweaks... but it's stable and I can continue using the laptop

On my Mac Studio Ultra 20 core :

uselethminer ADDRESS.NAME@eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -l --flavor-gpu metal --flavor armv8af --size 88 -t 18

Runs about 31 Mh/s -T on 40 does not help.

Subtracting power costs I earn about 10,- each month. :-)

angusgastle commented 2 years ago

Which version of the 20 core?

WeterPeter commented 2 years ago

Which version of the 20 core?

I have the Ultra 48 graphics core version.

Any tips for optimisation?
