Wordpress Media Library inadequate #5

Needs better filtering, search facility, etc. to be useful for gallery creation from user submitted imagery.

Try 'Enhanced Media Library' plugin?

Installed media library plugin. Still not sure it's easy enough to search and create galleries though.

Needed to add options to "Filter in Media Library" in the Media Settings > Taxonomies section. Now when creating or adding to a gallery, you can filter by category. Note, category is just a custom taxonomy, so can create others - e.g. "tags", but there may be no point, and the interface for updating them will be the same (i.e. not like a standard tags separated by commas box).
