PulseMonitor is already using Redunda for persistent storage, but there is no support for kicking up a second instance from idle if the active one goes AWOL as has frequently happened recently.
Look into how other clients are using Redunda and possibly check out SmokeDetector's similar functionality (though it doesn't use Redunda AFAIK).
