The SO chat interface abbreviates long URLs. This is not visible in the chat log so it's not really meaningful to link to examples here, but Jake noted as much with a copy/paste here:

He suggests adding a line break or something.

Brief experiment https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/53319854#53319854 suggests I can simply linkify the link (sic)

In other words,

testing:2020-01-23 08:17:16,506:221243: Check post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/59874070 (1)

displays the URL abbreviated in chat, whereas

testing:2020-01-23 08:17:16,506:221243: Check post [https://stackoverflow.com/questions/59874070](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/59874070) (1)

displays it in full.
