Defining an HRF per voxel. Some type of variation of the current optimize HRF perhaps, but without forcing it to be similar to a canonical HRF. I don't have enough experience with this, so I don't know how much frontal/sub-cortical and less visually evoked voxels look like HRF-wise.
for this we could implement example4.m in the matlab version? the seed would still be the canonical, but every voxel would get its own hrf for the fit.
