What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.x^2-x+1/4 should factor this equation 
2.instead it gives 1/4(2*x-1)^2
3.how to get my expected output.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
(x-1/2)^2

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
