Try this:
1. Run the Uninstall script in /Applications/Soundflower
2. Re-install Soundflower 1.6.5
3. Reboot computer

I've just upgraded to Mountain Lion. Uninstalled SoundFlower (1.5.2 I think it
was), rebooted, installed 1.6.5, rebooted.
Doesn't work.

To clarify; I can see the Soundflower outputs and inputs in System Prefs, but
if I select them (as opposed to internal speakers / microphone), no sound is
played back or picked up for recording. I can change volume, but there is no
audio output. If I try to record audio, no audio is picked up.
SoundFlower did work for me under Lion 10.7.

SOUND FLOWER 1.6.5
Does not load propperly when launched, no output sound card loaded, no input
sound card loaded.
Also not listed in the list of running programs in activity manager and force
quit menus and when you click on the Soundflower icon in the top bar, option 1
on the menu states - "Soundflower Is not installed"
Also running latest mac OS - Mountain Lion - brand new Mid 2012 dual core 13"
PowerBook (4th application installed)

NO GOOD - Mountain Lion
Does not work on Mountain Lion on a MBA 13 i7 (mid-2011). It will install, I
can see the Soundflower ports (2ch/64ch) in the settings audio tab (as well as
midi settings) but when selecting SoundFlower 2ch...does not work with
applications such as Camtasia 2.2.1 or Screenflick....even the Soundflower copy
that Screenflick installs does not work. SUPPOSED ISSUE: in the audio settings
when one selects Soundflower 2ch, it reports that there is no carrier for the
SF2ch signal...its not obviously making a connection with the direct system
output.
I thank the guys at SoundFlower for at least trying since nobody else in this
market is trying to allow us to capture audio on our Macs but I agree with some
posts that this renders this software totally useless.
ALTERNATIVE: After uninstalling SFlower I was left with the option of simply
playing my system audio out loud and that signal being captured by my
microphone...its not the best option but at least this way I can not only speak
into my mic but I can also capture audio applications audio signals with no
feedback and the sound is acceptable since its a Mac.
