Soundflower 1.6.6b not working on Mountain Lion OS X v10.8.2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Cannot record on Adobe C5.5 what I'm hearing
2. Soundflower will not start
3. Appears in top right (black flower petals) then disappears after 1 sec

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
LogMeIn Sound Driver, can listen through speakers, cannot record what I hear.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Soundflower 1.6.6b on Mountain Lion 10.8.2 - not sure what version of 
Soundlfower I was using up until the day it was working.

Please provide any additional information below.
Was working FINE up til last Wednesday 24th October 2012 - went to use it on 
Thursday 25th October - just would not work. Have tried all sorts - any ideas 
on how to fix this. I rely on this software! Many thanks if you can help!

rorymcal is RIGHT.  my soundflower on my OS 10.8.2 just quit working.  I used 
it last week, and this weekend, it was not functional.  NO AUDIO.  i know how 
to use it as I've done so every other day in the past weeks.  this is so odd.  
any suggestions?  was there some kind of APPLE update to either the OS or to 
Quicktime that could have rendered soundflower useless?

can anyone suggest any other program that works as easily as soundflower did?  
i just wasted money on Voila and it doesn't capture audio and video 
simultaneously.  

i may try the other suggestion Rory has in #172 to add a new MIDI
