TL;DR: We are thrilled to announce that we are currently developing the new V3 of NextChat at branch v3, which will feature a breathtaking new UI and a host of exciting functionalities. No action is required at this time! For developers building on NextChat, please start considering the upcoming major release's impact. We welcome any thoughts or ideas in the Discussions section!

What’s Coming in V3? In next few months, we plan to roll out NextChat V3, which will include a completely redesigned user interface and some thrilling new capabilities. Since V3 involves significant refactoring, including potential breaking changes for those developing on NextChat, we want to keep you informed well before the official release.

Key Features to Anticipate:

Revamped UI: An entirely fresh look that enhances your user experience.
Model Manager Support: Implementation of multi-model provider management as referenced in issue #4030.
Function Calling: This feature is expected to be added post-V3 release.
Open Mask Importer: Also anticipated to be available after the V3 launch.
And more...

Ongoing Support & Development: Please rest assured, before the official rollout of V3, we will continue to iterate and maintain the current V2 on the main branch. Development of the new features and UI for V3 will occur on the v3 git branch. Post-release, we will also continue to support V2, which will be maintained on the v2 git branch.

Anticipated Timeline:

[TBD] Complete major feature development.
[TBD] Merge V3 into the main branch (including Docker images). V2 will continue to be maintained on the v2 branch, with a one-month notice provided prior to any changes.
[TBD] (Within 3 months post V3 release) Continue bug fixes and maintenance for V2.

手机的浏览器，底下有工具栏，竖屏的时候，输入框全挡住了，完全点不到，无法输入。自带的和EDGE都无法输入。

The mobile browser has a toolbar at the bottom. When the screen is in portrait mode, the input box is completely blocked, making it impossible to click and input. Neither the built-in nor EDGE can be imported.

侧边栏默认宽度有点大，收起来的最小宽度也比原来的大很多，希望保留以前的一键收起侧边栏功能和尺寸

希望能够通过环境变量来改变模型的顺序和默认模型, 可以直接按照现有的CUSTOM_MODELS排序就好, 第一个即为默认模型. 之前在另一个issue里面看到回复说是随机的, 感觉不太好.

I hope to be able to change the order of the models and the default model through environment variables. I can just sort them according to the existing CUSTOM_MODELS. The first one is the default model. I saw a reply in another issue before that it was random, which doesn’t feel right. good.

@fred-bf 目前v3版本还不支持gpt-4o，这几天体验了v3版本确实整体ui很棒用起来很舒服，希望尽快能追上一些功能迭代

@fred-bf Currently, the v3 version does not support gpt-4o. I have experienced the v3 version in the past few days. The overall UI is great and comfortable to use. I hope to catch up with some functional iterations as soon as possible.

现在左栏、下面输入框、上方标题都太大了，严重压缩主要内容空间。

建议做成可调整或者可以折叠的，特别是上方标题，完全没必要那么厚

You can more or less do this with big-agi, but would be cool to see that functionality here as well

Can v3 support some sort of full text search? I many times find myself trying to find a particular conversation throughout my many chats.
