freezing #1156

Hi everybody,

could not find a similar theme in list, but maybe just blind ;) please link if there is already a thread.

As I have almost no idea what information you might need, some I assume first:

The app is freezing almost every 2-3 times I use it. The phone is vibrating (I have no sounds turned on, just vibrate alerts) like a message is coming in. I tap to open and app freezes. Sometimes it loads at least the list of the contacts, but not showing the new message. Sometimes just an empty white screen with lines where the contacts usually show up. If I can see the contacts and I tab on the one I aspect the message from: app does not load the conversation. Stays on screen. Sometimes the app closes it self after 10 seconds waiting or so, but when I open again in most cases it still ends up on the contact-overview screen. Takes ages for the app to open the contact. Sometimes I even get a vibrate for the next incoming message but still no view of it. This happens when chatsecure is the only open XMPP client and when Gajim is in use as well. Tried to close app completely and restart. In most cases I need 2 or 3 restarts until finally load of the message(s). I have this issue since a very long time, in older versions of iphone and App version too.

Curious about your ideas :) Thank you everybody

Can you try deleting/reinstalling?

Sure :) so far no crashes or freezes.... (Now I just have an "unused token" issue and do not receive messages at chatsecure constantly, as they arrive at Gajim first....) Unfortunately all the friends are busy and nobody can send me constantly messages for trying if reinstalling works steady. Will come back later with more information :)

... Thank you chrisballinger, I am quite proud you as the inventor himself is helping me out Thank you so much for inventing a OMEMO supporting iOS app 👍

After reinstalling the second time it is a bit more stable but still freezing every now and then but the freezing does not last this long so far, opens messages a bit faster than before reinstalling.
