Feature Request: Flagging selected users #1800

Ive been using chatterino to mod streams a lot, and ive wanted this change, and just now know how to suggest a change. I want for an option to flag a user, so that theres some sort of slight highlight to their messages, since the streams i mod average 200-1000 viewers its hard to keep track of all of the names of people who have been spamming, so if i see a wall of emotes i can flag it and see if they continue to spam, also it could be super convenient if the flag would wear off in 10-15 mins so i dont have to manually un flag each user i flag. if this is already possible in some way id appreciate an explaination on how.

For now, you can go to Settings -> Highlights -> Users and manually add someone, so you can see their messages highlighted with the color of choice, however keep in mind that would make those highlights go to /mentions tab as well. I think that usercard can be improved in a way, so you can not only ignore highlights from someone but also add them to highlights list, and maybe as you suggested - temporarily. nope, I think it's better to just click on someone again and remove them from your highlights list.

As far as I'm aware, the current Chatterino 2 user card doesn't have all the features the official Twitch.tv one would have*. However, when using Chatterino to moderate channels you could open up the Twitch Mod View page on the channels you Mod and have it open to check individual users.

Might be a little bit annoying to use 2 windows for 1 thing, but for now it could be a handy solution.

*This is because Twitch doesn't release the API for every single website feature, if they're planning on releasing this particular feature on the API or already have, then it could be something that's added to Chatterino 2 in the future.

Hope this helps :)

There is currently a usercard button in the chatterino usercard that opens the twitch usercard page. Either way your comment doesn't really have anything to do with op.

In that case, my apologies. Just wasn't 100% sure if Chatterino's Usercard fully corresponded Twitch web's one.

Sorry for the necropost, but I would really want this feature. Something akin to the suspicious users thing in twitch, but totally local. Here's what I thought:

Have a new tab in Moderation called Suspicious Users, where you can define the highlight theme for all of them, and a list with all of the names, and at the Usercard screen have a flag called [ ] Suspicious, similar to the Block and Ignore Highlight flags, and whenever you mark that flag that user gets added to that list.

This way you can have a similar feature as twitch, but all local, and it would make my life as a moderator easier, since I have to:

Against what I'm suggesting that would have me:
