I will take this PR to our daily tomorrow.
My personal opinion is though, not to merge this PR. Usually we add all new versions of the distribution we support within a month. That is also why it is written like this in the official guide. The first Dailies supporting Debian 11 are available since yesterday at least.
The best source for checking which OS versions are currently supported by any version of Checkmk is simply the download portal. I would not like having to duplicate this information.
I understand. People seem to look at this article, but if it's officially coming very soon, then it indeed makes sense to just wait for the release and communicate to the community the estimated release date.
From what I read I would suggest two things: Maye clarifying in the documentation, that the download portal is the single source of truth for OS support while also keeping the community updated on a approximate release date. I think the last point was the real point of irritation that there was no word when a release could be expected. Even a rough estimate is better than nothing I think.
With the p13 released today, I think we can close this PR. But I hope @thorian93's suggestion on clarifying the 'source of truth' in the documentation can be considered :)
Since Checkmk doesn't support Debian 11 yet, it might be helpful to mention what are the specific supported versions.
