@akwangl @dockylf You are not helping by putting these comments into our issue and progress tracking. I’ve decided to take the initiative and lock discussions in all currently open issues.
idk if this helps but maybe its worth to investigate what renoir do while trying to load framebuffer + early ttl init code while disabling the accelerator. i did this in an early raven stage with a disable at later powerup + x6000 accelerator off it allowed to see dcn init + x6000hwlibs init code ofc goal is use 5000 but it helped a bit
@jalavoui Interesting idea. We’ll try that on our next testing rounds, see where that leads
@jalavoui Seems to be the Accelerator specifically; it dies randomly while processing some SDMA commands that WindowServer sends early in initialisation. FB-only mode works, and the HWLibs themselves are unlikely to be causing the issue on their own
Hello everyone, first I would like to thank you for your commitment to the development of this kext. I would like to make myself available as a tester for the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G processor, with the Vega 7 (Ranoir) on my computer. At the moment I will not be able to invest in a compatible GPU, and I would like to test this new kext on my computer. So far, I haven't been able to boot as needed with the guidelines through the available ''read me''. Thank you very much!!!
@danboeira Thanks, but we don’t need testers, we need solutions
I think this also affected Ryzen 5 5600G. I hope you can find a solution (for now using -nredfbonly boot flag "Partialy accelerated" work)!
@hsnfirdaus The title says 4XXX+…
Will run amd ryzen 5 5500u processor
Will run amd ryzen 5 5500u processor
Don't dream,We can't do that yet

can i ask for your efi file
Limited conversation to collaborators due to lack of common sense; these "issues" are not for you to ask for EFIs, nor is it to state already known and obvious information such as "I think Ryzen 5600G is also affected". For the former, sharing and using EFIs (incl. pre-built) is disapproved by most of the hackintosh community. This is because it encourages people to be lazy. Lastly, as the title stated before, but made more obvious now, is that 5XXX is included (4xxx+ series, as stated).
Renoir doesn't work at all. Reason unknown.
