3 weeks ago - Water fluid cells are now obtainable by putting a fluid cell in the crusher output and crushing something, they act like water buckets and can place renewable liquid water nodes.
- Moss will grow on nodes next to water, and algae on the water, given sufficient light. These may be broken and crafted into dirt and fertilizer which is used on dirt to grow more plants.
- Most plants except moss and algae need to be in a habitat, which is a fully enclosed space with a habitat regulator placed inside. They also need light, nearby water, and sky access - the more sky is visible, the quicker they grow. Hence habitats should be made with the walls and ceiling made of emittrium glass.
- The first plant is Pyrograss, a purple grassy plant. Its only use so far is to craft the burner, which burns organic matter to release CO2 which other plants need. Note that CO2 can also be stored by the habitat regulator, but only as much as the number of air/water/plant nodes in the habitat.
- The second plant is the Stemfruit, which needs CO2 and currently has no use except crafting with various materials to make other types of plant.
- The third plant is the Warpshroom, which grows slowly and teleports the player randomly when eaten. It is planned to be used for teleportation stuff in future.
- The final plant (in this PR at least) is Fiberweed, a sort of seaweed which grows vertically through water blocks and is used to craft rope, which can be used to climb downwards and is also planned as a crafting ingredient.
- A few API functions are also included to add more plants and CO2 sources. Of note is an airlock node, which is non-solid but is seen by habitats as solid, and therefore may be used as an access point for habitats.
- There are quests, but no sounds or particles yet. I might add them in the inevitable follow-up PR fixing bugs inadvertently caused by this one.
