Typing would give the flexibility, like it sometime is denoting how many R group(cardinal) there is instead of position (ordinal).

That -Et-OH looks anomalous. Did you mean C2H4OH? because if so we have a functional group for that.
At the moment ACME largely provides the functionality in ChemDoodle for Web. The latter doesn't provide custom labels.
