Hi

It would be great to have a way to insert metadata tags into webm.

a lot of tag sets are already available:

http://www.matroska.org/technical/specs/tagging/index.html could be a zero cost 
option as EBML is already included in webm. Code to insert and extract those 
metadata already exists.

Dublin Core elements 
(http://dublincore.org/documents/usageguide/elements.shtml) are a widely 
accepted well-generic set

Ogg vorbis comment field specification 
(http://www.xiph.org/vorbis/doc/v-comment.html) is simple and already used for 
vorbis contents.
