Windows 8 embed able library with full mkv support #545

Given the webm is built on a simplified version of mkv and the high demand for
mkv support in windows 8 apps it would be highly beneficial to port the media
foundation codecs and splitters to work as embeddable modules in windows 8 apps
and at the same time enable mkv splitting.

By doing so, you'll get a lot of support from the developer community and get
companies to use webm because its easy and efficient to use royalty free in
windows 8.

There are existing open source tools that work with MKV. If you have any issues
with those please reopen the bug.

You didn't answer the suggestion at all. You guys need to provide windows 8
media foundation splitters and decoders so that modern apps can play webm and
by extension mkv.

otherwise you're locked to just the desktop browser in windows 8 which is a
good way to ensure no adoption.
