--enable-internal-stats does not work #578

I am using the latest experimental branch of the libvpx vpxenc. The version 
number is v1.2.0-2711-g2cf0d4b. When the configuration option 
"--enable-internal-stats" is enabled, the vpxenc either cannot be built under 
windows or reports segmentation fault under linux. When 
"--enable-internal-stats" is disabled, the vpxenc works well under both 
platforms. Is the option --enable-internal-stats supported for the vp9/vp8 
encoder?  If yes, could anybody look into this issue?
