tesseract 3.0 -failed to train eng.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Since generating kannada tr in tesseract 3.0, as a test tried to generate 
english.tr using phototest.tif but here also failed with encounter message.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should have generated eng.tr file since it was able to generate in 2.04
version. Even generating kannada.tr file failed whereas it was generated
successfully in 2.04.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

tesseract-ocr R319 and winxp
Please provide any additional information below.
