Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The current auto-update is most likely broken (#540) and only dev-builds send update notification which someone might not want.

Describe the solution you'd like

Release update notifications. Ideally with ingame messages too.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Manually checking or only relying on the dev build.
