• Worked on finding sentiment values of words, and assigning them since none were in LatinAffectus.
• Assigned sentiment values for first two sentences.
• Not super confident at identifying which lexicon is most relevant sense overall while I felt a sentence might be positive, Fronto would use some negative words. For instance, if a phrase is "you have dispelled all my fear", "fear" may be negative, but the verb "dispel" negates it, so is "dispel" then to be assigned a positive value... etc.

i think you are doing a good job here. the lexicon is problematic in the first few paragraphs, I agree, but also remember that we will use your scores assigned to sentences, not to specific words, precisely for this reason. I wouldn't worry too much about the lexicon in these specific cases, you may even classify those words at surface level without context and document here to clarify this. To edit the documentation, click on the pencil icon and copy the existing formatting to add a structure (there is a "Preview" button as well).

By the way, the letters seem to be really an excellent case study for sentiment analysis!
