Add link to app #1

Would be great to have a link to the app so we can link to the project on the open gov hack night website projects page, and other places. The website links on the page are automatically populated from github repo info.

Not sure if I follow. Just want me to add the github repo to the open gov site? Would be happy to do so.

Nope, the repo is already on the site: http://opengovhacknight.org/projects.html

The issue is that

  1. the repo description - "Open311 Service Request Status Site" - isn't very descriptive. We're showing that description on the project page repo list, and it isn't immediately clear what the app is. Examples of good descriptions: "A web scraping tutorial with Illinois Department of Revenue tax data" or "A civic app that explains how your Chicago building is zoned - and wtf that means." A more self-explanatory description might be: "An app by the City of Chicago that lets residents see the status of city services they've requested. Built on top of Chicago's Open311 API."
  2. There's no repo link to servicetracker.cityofchicago.org, which seems to be down right now by the way. As a result, there no "website" link that gets generated on the project page, so people can't actually click through to see the live app, only the repo. To add the link, go to https://github.com/Chicago/srtracker and click edit up top.

Hope that clear things up!
