I had a modpack with 48635461 mods, and it ran with 1/2 fps (what was absurde, because my non-modded Minecraft ran with 200 fps) and I decided to reinstall all mods, one-per-one... I started with Forde (dã), and core-mods... So, I installed CodeChickenCore alone (actually, with other 4 core-mods).
When I started Minecraft, a folder called 1.7.10 was created in my mods folder. In 1.7.10 folder, a file called CodeChickenLib-1.7.10-1.1.1.110 was downloaded. But to find the mod that was dropping my fps, I decided to read the launcher's log. It said that the the version of CodeChikenLib .99 was old and downloaded the release .110. BUT, it went looking for the version .99, and since it did not just ignored that and continued.
I know this is probably not the cause of my low fps, but can be a problem the CodeChickenCore run without the Lib (which I believe are the necessary libraries).
