you said on twitter that i should post this here on the issue tracker, i mentioned a suggestion of change.

replace the nei creative inv with this inv png.

top left = crafting table //portable crafting mainly best for moders who want to easily check recipes without placing // blocks and such (devolving with your mods in their environment), but also useful for // regular gameplay in some weird ways. top middle = the 9 potion slots from the potion editor // easily grab potions that you have premade in the nei creative potion editor, but you can grab // them from your creative inv now. top right = armor and player view // armor because why not? center = extended storage // made to look like an actual extension of your own regular inventory. bottom = regular inv // because that's the norm...

sorry if this is annoying, i like making guis and such so i made this after useing your inventory while testing a few things.

Would be nice. The only thing is NEI on the right probably couldn't display in a nice column on smaller screens.

this should fix that, but we would lose functionality of the potion idea :/ i dont use potions often so it wouldnt effect me. i only threw that in to make the gui look better invdesign2

@reapersremorse Nice! IDK much about modding the inventory screen in Minecraft, but maybe it could dynamically adjust between the two depending on the screen size?

he could do it the way that ae2 changes sizes depending on which mode your in. he mostlikely wouldnt want to do something like that because he would have to have more than one gui setup or 1 gui setup which would dynamically update to adjust to your screens size and needs (you could lose items that way as well, i know its creative but people would complain. it would b harder as well) sorry if im not making any since, i find it hard to explain things to people without showing them.

lol yes, he could impliment a config option. i want to learn how to code :/. i have so many ideas and dont know how to code lol. ive tried tutorials but nutting sticks.

I'd suggest keeping any "pop-out" space on the left side, as that is the side of NEI that has more free space (the inv buttons need less space then the itemlist, so there is room on the left side)
