What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Pokemon Crystal U, I can't copy my seed or anything otherwise I'd share that 
as well!
2. I chose Moltres as my starter.
3. First encounter area is Teddiursa or Clefairy. Defeating either will 
reproduce the problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should earn my experience and end the battle.
Instead, the Moltres earns experience twice, and then it repeats its first 
experience gain twice until the game resets and I'm presented with the "This 
Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." dialogue and I'm 
forced to quit the ROM.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
UPRandomizer-120a-InternalConfig
Mac OS 10.6.8

Please provide any additional information below.
I've used different Crystal ROMS but they all seem to be behaving this way. 
Tried the ROMs without the randomization and they work fine. Will fiddle more 
when I'm not so tired.

Also it seems someone else is having a similar but not identical problem with 
their Gold:

Same issue as #17 (affects all Gold/Silver/Crystal)
