Incorrect Cyrillic Channel Names #33

DVBViewerController Alpha7

As it could be seen from the two screenshots the name of channel 1 is 
incorrectly displayed. It should be "БНТ 1" as seen in the second screenshot.

Here is a small channels.dat file that has a Cyrillic channel name in it

Hopefully this issue will vanish if i get the channels via the new xml API 
instead of parsing the channels.dat.

Wait for Alpha 8 ;-)

I was thinking of adding one more issue to the tracker but let me ask first:
Is it possible to add the channel groups that are used in the service/DVBViewer 
itself?
Currently browsing a long channel list is pretty hard.

Yes I had planned to get the groups out of the channels.dat, but since v1.24 it 
is a lot easyer, so feel free to open an issue as a reminder for me ;-)

I could provide a test.apk so you can check if cyrillic Names are now handled 
correct.

Issue is closed.

There is a beta version in the Play Store.
To become a betatester join this Google Group 
https://groups.google.com/group/dvbviewer-controller

Then you have to agree to be a betatester here 
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.dvbviewer.controller

As a betatester you can regularly download the app from the Play Store
