I do not understand how the gripper works. It is a pneumatic gripper. Does it work with air? Thank you.

Yes, it’s a pneumatic gripper controlled with a 5 port solenoid valve (see robot bill of material in construction manual), this valve is 24vdc driven by one of the robots 8 relay outputs.
