The monsters generated in the Platinum Dragon tower carry good loot, and there are many of them.
It's not unusual to get 20+ potions of full healing, multiple amulets of lifesaving (why aren't the enemies wearing these?), and multiple wands of death, and countless other less-useful potions and scrolls for polypiling.
