After some research today, probably involves:

Standardizing how existing/default values are populated in views/admin/config-form.php
In the same, retrieving the saved values from an option
A function to save $_POST[ 'configure' ] to an option in classes/class-admin-ajax.php when the form is submitted.

Given the work involved, I think I'm going to remove this from the v1.1 milestone and tackle it again soon.
