2 years ago I never set configure.ac up to accept a --apl-source-dir=blah' option--it's supposed to discover that itself usingapl
--show_src_dir`but a glitch crept into a prior apl release that's making
it return the wrong source dir when you do that. The quickest solution
is to get the latest copy of apl--that fixes the bug, but give me a
while and I'll stick that ./configure option in.
