I installed CyberRe but when update grub always set default theme
Hey Chris i decided to switch to linux a few months ago and im starting to get a decent handle on it.I have a question sorta in theory. If i downloaded another theme from the source website and put it in the top 5 folder\theme folder and deleted one i didnt like from your folder and renamed it the folder i deleted would that also work? For example i dont like the Vimix one so i delete it then put a new one i download and just rename it Vimix would that work "In theory of couorse"?
How do i turn it back to my original grub theme?
Thanks Chris. As newbee in the linux world, this was very helpfull. In my case this didn't work out the, it seems that in case you use Fedora grub files lives in /boot/grub2 (I installed Nobara linux 37). So after I moved the theme files in into /boot/grub2/themes, updated the GRUB_THEME url in grub file (sudo nano -w /etc/default/grub) and regenerated grub file (sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg) the magic happend.
Didn't work in Mint either
did not work in my kali linux.
not work on pop os
worked in linux mint 21.3 would also like a guide on as to how we can add more themes
