Looks like some bits and pieces have changed and this no longer works.

I got Garmin Express to launch by installing dotnet472 instead of dotnet452 listed above (since I found evidence that this is what the latest version of Express needs). I also skipped the WINEARCH=win32 bit which resulted in a load of warnings but I'm not sure if that made any difference. On launch, Express complained that it couldn't find the right .NET installation (and indeed earlier experiments of mine resulted in it attempting and failing to download 4.7.2), but when I ignored that error it launched fine anyway.

However, after all that, it failed to detect my Garmin Edge 1040 over USB :-(

NO NEED FOR GARMIN EXPRESS (if your GPS has option to update over WiFi)

I just spent a week trying to run garmin express on linux mint only to find out you don't need it

To put a new map onto a garmin device just copy and paste it:

To view maps, create way points, route and tracks:

Here some help, sorry only in German https://www.easyroutes.de/fileadmin/user_upload/PDF/Anleitung-OSM-Karten-auf-Garmin-Zumo.pdf https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download

ALSO NO NEED FOR GARMIN EXPRESS (if you need it to copy music over) In gnome file explorer, you can just manually copy your mp3 files to the Music directory

Hi, the installation of Garmin Express die not work, because something is going wrong with the installation of Windows .NET 7.5.2.
