Flashing an SD card with Ubuntu Server Live and inserting it into the OPI 800 TF slot doesn't seem to work for me. The OPI 800 doesn't boot. What steps did you take to get Ubuntu Server installed? If I boot the OPI normally, it recognizes the card, so the slot clearly works.

By default the Orange Pi pushes output to eDP which is the VGA output not the HDMI by default. I'm working on an image for this, because I have 11 of the OPI 800s LOL. I'm getting around this by making stock X11 conf files and disabling the VGA port, because who the hell wants to use VGA in 2022!

Ah, didn't think about that. Nice tip. Now to find a monitor with VGA ... Thanks for quick response.

Did you ever publish a build guide for this? I never got it to work with or without a VGA monitor. :( Then forgot about it until now ...

Is there going to be a Orange pi 800 install video on how to seperate the partitions for install? ;o i would love to have images working that are not just patches .... btw i am from Texas too 2 hours away :D

also, with the new unstable updates for manjaro, and you said VGA can be turned off that would be a cool tutorial, then to have it recognize the disk images, do you know about RTC-RK808 in the 3588 processor of the orange pi 5 series?, and why 3388 does not have real time clock 808, or a way around this when i rebuild the kernel?

RK3399* typo sorry
