WIFI and Trackpad missing #2924

Describe the bug

On a clean compilation of MicroWin using Win11_23H2_English_x64v2.iso, the trackpad is disabled and the wifi adapter is unavailable.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Build microwin.iso using above iso.
  2. Select win11 Home, Pro, any (it doesnt matter)
  3. Checkbox "import drivers from current system"
  4. install from ventoy (no issues)

Expected behavior

new win11 desktop appears ready to use, however laptop tracpad and wifi adapter (amongst other hardware) is non-functioning. There are about 15 unknown drivers in Device Manager. I must apply a generic wifi driver, and then use Windows Update to get all of the missing drivers before marking this install complete. This is not expected?

Hi. The Import drivers from current system is only can be used when installing on the identical hardware. So if you are using another Desktop and Imported the Desktop Drivers. It won't work on the Laptop.

Thanks for the response! Built it using the same laptop its being installed on. The windows install does create a windows.001 folder on the C:\ that I can "search" for drivers, but that requires me to go to each "unknown device" in DM individually.
