Microsoft Edge Removal Addition #2994

This feature request relates to the Microsoft Edge Removal tweak . There is a new option in the unattend.xml file generation website. Please see attached image below for evidence. Once I finished the install process and tried to uninstall Edge using either the new settings menu or the control.exe option. Windows just errored and said "Please close all edge windows to proceed".

However, also below there is GitHub repository which is a closed source binary to remove edge only. I understand that this won't be implemented due to the closed source nature. But using this I have successfully removed and there are multiple options within to keep or remove WebView. But unless the error message above that I mentioned has a workaround then this is the only alternative solution for Edge Removal.

hello, just wanted to say that i do believe that the trick of editing the IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json file has been patched and also the ShadowWhisperer does have batch files you can download which are open source and can easily be viewed using notepad, these batch files have the same options of just removing edge or removing edge and webview, there is also another option https://gist.github.com/ave9858/c3451d9f452389ac7607c99d45edecc6 this is completely open source but it dont give a option to remove webview but most people shouldn't anyways as removing it can break things.

The method Remove-MS-Edge does work on 24h4, but I've encounter windows update error (0x800F0922 and 0x800f0991) on the vm which had edge removed. The vm which still has edge updated just fine. (two vm are clone of each other) Not sure removing edge it is the cause. I've tried reset windows update and system corruption scan, still having update error. Even manual download update (kb5046617 in my case) from Microsoft Update Catalog, it still failed to install.
