Is the any CPU idea mentioned last year for the Slim DX 2 version shaping up yet? #794

Last year there was mention of doing a redesign of Slim DX in version 2. Is 
there any progress in this department? Our product is provided as a collection 
of Any CPU dll's.

Yes, we've been working on it for a while now. Note that you can generally 
achieve the same effect with the current version of SlimDX by referencing the 
SlimDX assemblies in the GAC; it simply requires that the SlimDX installer 
install both versions.

Hi Mike,

Cool! Well, we don't want to force our customer to register in the GAC. So the 
SlimDX version 2, with the plan you guys outlined last year for that would work 
with a non-GAC any CPU build is the only usable solution in our case.
